A Lie

"Are you husband and wife?" asked the hotel receptionist. "Yes." He replied giving a winning look to his wife. That look she hated most. That attitude she despised, of having been owned by someone. She would have been proud of his feelings, had it been for some another day, another time, another state of things. But... "so... Did you like the room?" "Yes. Its nice." "I am going out for tea, would you want some?" "No, I will take some rest." She forced a smile.

The relief of being alone was utmost. She looked out of the window and found the sun still hanging at horizon. It was a picturesque scene. She felt like being in a movie, her chaotic mind and serene nature stood in contrast with each other. She wanted to but couldn't appreciate nature's beauty at present. She felt a little away from what was in front of her. Everything.

Why did he say that? Why would he say, "I trust you. And will always do." Even though he caught her with him. Why would he say, "I love you, and I will forget each and everything, we will start anew." And why would I say, "I promise I will never hurt you again, I will never break your trust. Lets start afresh. "  Her heart began to become heavier with the Sun sinking down behind green hills.

As he came back they got ready for dinner. It was a nice chilly evening and they spent it as best as they could. But still she did not feel at comfort. As if, she has become a divided self, neither here nor there, permanently. But she would still go on as a dead walks on the earth. She didn't know where she was heading or what would happen next? She almost lived in the delirium.

There comes a point in your life when it begins to mirror your own idiosyncrasies. Her life had become so tragi-comic that she didn't know whether to be happy to see her saved married life or to be sad at a loss of a dream she had entered into, without caution. The night passed, mostly sleepless, as usual.

She woke up to see the hazy sun and feel chilled breeze across her body. He had a habit of waking up late in the morning. And she was always a lover of mornings. She came out for a walk. As much as she thought about her situations, she found it more intricate, more puzzled than ever.
That night she had decided to stay in marriage, coz he won't let her go, coz he insisted to make everything right, coz he promised to forget and start afresh, coz he asked her to look at her daughter and think about families, society, reputation... Coz she couldn't dare to hurt everyone coz...

Wasn't she afraid herself? Love happened to her because she believed in it, she believed in the journey of soul, she believed in angels and soulmates, she believed in many lifetimes and believed that miracles happened. And it was that Warrior who made her more believing and help her explore herself deep inside. It was him and only him she could give her demons, and he would still cheerfully say, I want you more.

-----

He was waiting for her when she reached. She realized she took a long road. He was not angry though. They took tea and breakfast and played with their little girl. She had hangover of her thoughts and still felt too empty inside.

She remained unfaithful, she repents this but she could never regret accepting love in her life. She didn't know how to make things Right now. There was a terrible mess.

-----

"Where are you lost?" He asked doubtfully. "nowhere. I am here only." She lied, wondering, sometimes how easy it is to speak a lie than a truth.

Sometimes a whole life can be a lie! Your story is thought-provoking and well-crafted too.

It is so real, isn't it?  I loved the colors... Woods are calling me.... A silence... A path... A spiritual feeling... drowning in Orange effect   - Vincent Van Gogh

Two Hours for Soul

Two hours. Two long. Too much. Yet too less if I sit by a half-closed window and sun rays tickle my eyes play with my hairs and kiss my lips. Too less to thank God for all good he did.  Too less to observe the life as it flows.  Too less to love each moment as it passes by.  We run and run whole life and it is passed in a twinkling of an eye but our soul carries the imprints for eternity. The Soul was an empty vessel when it began its journey but the time allowed Soul to fill itself with pretty flowers, beads, gems and magnificent things. Whole life we keep on fulfilling the needs of body and neglect our soul. Wouldn't it be wonderful to pause for some minutes and give sometime to our Soul.  To observe the cycle of universe and feel yourself a part of it. To rise above the petty problems of the day and feel the magnificence of Being. To fly with imagination to the unknown worlds of fairies, kabilas, gypsies, forests, mountains, ocean. To let the Soul fly to the beauties

I am star of the Sky ...

I am star of the Sky that sees no Limit I break I fall and yet  When I shine I outshine all the Light ... Happy Birthday Angel  :) I often doubt, am I really an angel. Several times I attributed to myself the titles like - Stone Angel, Dark Angel or Fallen Angel - but I could never prick out the fact that I am not an Angel. Why? Why am I an angel? And then it says from deep down, "you don't have to find a reason for what you are." Around 5.20 am , she asked me, "Won't you wish something today?" , I looked up at the dark clouds for a sec , smiled and then nodded hard, " I would , I would , I would." and then I said, " aasmaan ka ek katra , aur wo hissa jisme mera birghtest star ho."   When we wished each other, my mom blessed me with the words, " zindagi ke sahi matlab samjho... ek din samajh jaogi.. aur tab tak samjhna jaari rakhna..."  I am feeling grateful for everything. Everything is so wonder
